Lunch is a bag lunch which each camper must bring with them. Campers design, build and program robots during the week and the teachers help them learn fundamentals of design, engineering, programming, and robotics.
The program is non-competitive and children work in groups of two (and occasionally groups of three if they choose to). Each group works on projects and missions assigned at the beginning of the day and continues through the day and into the week. As they get more skills they have the opportunity to work on their own projects.
Beginners Camp: Is for youth ages 9 to 13 and is designed for those who have little or no LEGO Robotics experience. Older or more experienced campers are welcome if this is the only week available and we try to match with a like-minded individual for the week so they may work at a faster or in a more directed approach to a problem.
Mixed Camp: When we know there are youth with more experience in an area but not enough to fill an advanced camp we will run a mixed camp. We try to work with both novice and experienced campers so all can benefit.
Advanced Camp: Is for youth who are at least 10 at the time the camp begins and have had prior LEGO robotics experience (RCX or NXT). It is also appropriate for 13 and 14 year old
